If you want grade A customer service, you'll find it here. Gary and Andrea were attentive and thorough throughout my visits. When I requested a specific make of a boot, they searched to find the exact same one and have it shipped to the store; later to find out they were discontinued. Regardless of the unfortunate news, Andrea recommended some boots based on my field of work and provided valuable information. From the first visit to checkout, each experience has been more than satisfactory.

I really like the hometown personal feel they offer to their customers. Selection of shoes, boots and clothing is great. Very good quality products, and exceptional service make it a great place to shop.

I had such a pleasant experience at the store. I bought a quality shoe and was treated royally by all. I was very impressed with the service from and personality of the young men working with the owner. A dynamite team including the delightful lady from behind the desk. Thank you for reminding me that customer service is still alive and thriving out there.

It was my first time in the store and I was looking for something specific. I got into a conversation with Gary, one of the owners, and he showed me all of the beautiful Pendleton merchandise that was on sale including the gorgeous blankets and jackets and even Pendleton coasters! Lots of Stormy Kromer hats and shoes, hiking boots, winter and muck boots. Gloves and hunting orange, as well as a thoughtfully curated selection of puzzles, mugs, candles and jewelry. I easily spent 90 minutes just looking at everything. I purchased a pair of Minnetonka winter boots that are gorgeous and were priced well. Shop local. Great service and a very tall Christmas tree to look at. You will definitely find just the right gift here and come back again for something for yourself. 5 stars+

WOW!!!! Baseman's is under new ownership by wonderful people! Not only are they incredibly kind and knowledgeable, they have brought in wonderful product! From Pendleton, to your go-to outdoor gear, there's something for everyone. I highly recommend stopping in!

I was driving in Wausau and saw this store. I have not found a shoe store that carries quality shoes, and knows how to fit them properly, so I stopped in , just to check them out. I loved them! They sell a lot of made in USA and high quality work shoes and casual shoes. I bought a pair of Kizeks and they are so comfortable. I live an hour away but I look forward to buying my next pair of shoes from them. Usually I order my shoes online and I never know if they’re going to fit or not or if they’re going to be comfortable. Support your local shoe store or you may end up limping like me.

This is one of Wausau’s coolest stores. Andrea and Gary are doing a great job of providing local retail of some incredible brands and outstanding service. They have options for every budget and I love seeing the amount of high quality, made in the US clothes. This place is an asset to the community and you should really consider them before heading to the national chains.

We went for the sole purpose of WOOL clothes. As soon as we walked into the store we were welcomed and asked how we could be helped. Gary and Andrea were so knowledgeable about the items they have for sale. They understood exactly what I was looking for. I am always cold and I can't stand bulky clothes or jackets. They had a great selection of wool sweaters and jackets. Lots of sizes in stock in the wool pants. Lots of different wool socks and base layers ALL in stock. I can't recommend this family oriented store anymore. All my hound hunting friends that need wool gear, go check them out!

Amazing service, knowledge, honesty and quality wear at economical prices! Andrea and Gary have been nothing but welcoming, taking time to get to know their customers and giving as much time with people as needed to help fulfill their needs! The store is very very supplied with quality clothing for everyday use, work, hunting and more. The same goes to their shoe wear for work, hiking, everyday use, comfort, along with providing the supplies needed to maintain them. This is truly a passion for them that they want to share I am certain due to how much time they spend with customers and the knowledge they have of their products. The rustic, elegant wooden walls, taxidermy mounts, paintings and signs make it feel like a traditional up north workers and outdoors enthusiasts store, which is really difficult to find these days; it provides a warm and inspiring feeling and I hope this tradition of their design continues to thrive! Thank you very much for helping me set myself up with boots for wildland firefighting and controlled burn projects for my forestry career! It was great meeting you two!
